Belonging to No.57 Operational Training Unit RAF, crashed on 25th March 1943 while flying up a Valley in cloudy conditions. It is rumoured the Pilot may have taken off from RAF Eshott Airfield to go and look for a German Aircraft that had recently crashed in the Cheviot Hills.
