Hawker Hurricane V7619

Crashed on 26th April 1941 while on a training
flight with three other Hurricanes. The Hurricanes entered low cloud while
flying up the East Allen Valley. V7619 struck the ground just north of the
Allenheads to Nenthead road and wreckage was scattered over the moorland
on the south side of the road. His parents visited the area just after the
war and laid a small memorial at the spot where he was killed.
