Departed Glasgow Airport at 14:22 on 19th January 1973 to carry out a 15 minute flight test. After flying north the Viscount was about to return to Glasgow but while in the vicinity of Crianlarich, flying in a westerley direction in poor weather conditions it struck Ben More near to the summit.
