Belonging to No228 OTU, crashed on 29th September 1959 after losing an engine due to a fire whilst on a training flight out of RAF Leeming. After shutting down the second engine after another fire warning the crew ejected safely leaving the aircraft to fly on before eventually hitting the moorland north of Castle Bolton.*

Belonging to No 1691 Flight, RAF, crashed into West Bolton Moor after becoming lost in cloud on 4th December 1943. The Martinet was engaged in a weather reconnaissance flight out of RAF Dalton.*
