crashed on 14th November 1943 whilst on a navigational excercise.

Belonging to 79 Squadron RAF, crashed on 28th may 1980 whilst taking part in Air Combat Training. The pilot was unable to pull out of a high speed dive. He ejected leaving the aircraft to dive almost vertically into the top of The Scalp.
