Originally HJ720 of the RAF before being transferred to BOAC to be used to transport Ball Bearings from Sweden to the UK. Crashed on 17th August 1943 after leaving RAF Leuchers at 21:05 for a High Speed Cargo run to Bromma Airport, Stockholm. At 21:36 the pilot radioed his intention to return to Leuchars but no reason was given. Nothing more was heard from the Mosquito until a Gamekeeper found it's wreckage on 8th September 1943. It's location suggested it had simply flown into the hillside in poor weather whilst on it's approach to land at Leuchars.
